Miss Sherwin becomes a fully registered teacher!

On Monday the 30th of November Miss Sherwin, who teaches in Room 10, became a fully registered teacher! We interviewed her about the night.

Where was the ceremony held?

Aurora Centre (at Burnside High School)

What happened on the night?

I graduated getting my full teacher registration in New Zealand.

Did you get anything for graduating?

A certificate and I was also gifted a native tree.

How does it feel to be a fully registered teacher?

It feels really good. It was a goal that I had for myself and was really cool to achieve that.

Have you enjoyed your teaching experience so far?

I have loved teaching!

Have there been any challenges you have had to overcome as a teacher?

The biggest challenge was that I wasn’t in my own culture, and that I had to figure out not only teaching in general, but learning how to do it in a different country.
