Korean Classroom Collab!

From Week 5, Room 16 has been doing a collaboration with a Korean school called Jeollabuk Do.

The Korean students wanted this collaboration because they wanted to improve their English skills.

The Room 16 students met them and they decided to do projects on Antarctica. The two schools created Google Slide Presentations about the different Antarctica landmarks, what made Antarctica special, the impact of sea level rises, and the impact on animals and how we can stop them. The students also did a competition with posters on stopping global warming.

A challenge for the Casebrook Students was talking to them because their English is limited from the textbooks they have. Their future goals are to meet the Korean students and go to Antarctica with them to help stop global warming.

To conclude, this collaboration was an extraordinary experience that will help the NZ students understand more about other cultures and customs.
