For inquiry we were apart of the BP challenge group. BP challenges are when people form into groups to create something, using everyday materials provided by the teachers, Mr Straker and Mr Stribling.

Right now all groups are working on their presentations for the creations that they’ve made, you either had to choose out of three things to make, catapults, bridges or towers. Most of us decided to make towers and catapults.

Every group shared ideas with each other, then they drew up a plan, showing what their creation might look like. Some people got their materials, then started building it.

We interviewed Hazel to find out some extra information about their inquiry.

Q: What was the hardest thing about being in this group?

A: Thinking of ideas was hard and also making our projects.

Q: What was something that you learned along the way?

A: I learned that teamwork was important and also communication within your teams so you knew what everyone was doing.

Q: What was your most enjoyable moment?

A: It would have to be when we made different kinds of projects.

Q: What failures did you have along the way?

A: When we made the catapult it didn’t work very well and didn’t fire that far during testing.
