Welcome to Casebrook Intermediate for 2018

A very warm welcome to families and students returning and to those who are new to Casebrook. We assure you it will be a year of great involvement and learning opportunities for your child.

A sincere thank you to all families for taking the time to ensure your child has the uniform and equipment necessary to start the year.  We are all very impressed with the positive attitude and eagerness we have seen resulting in a very smooth start to the year.

We welcome four new teachers to our staff.  Miss Anna Kerr in Room 12, Miss Jacinta Clark in Room 4, Mr Cameron Watts in Room 2 and Miss Shona McKenzie in Room 3.

In the office we have myself, Mr Nick Leith as the Deputy Principal, Mr Will Stribling as the acting Assistant Principal and Mr Mark Russell as our Support and Well-Being teacher. There will always be someone who can assist you.  We know this age and stage is a time of many changes and often a little extra support and attention is needed to ensure our young people go on to reach their potential.

Please have a look at the Term Calendar that is included in this newsletter and ensure you note important dates.  The first whole school event is the Meet the Teacher next Tuesday at 5:00pm.  From 5:00 - 5:30pm the teachers will outline the year and their expectations in your childs classroom and this will be followed by an explanation of our Casebook Challenge and BYO system in the hall.  This will finish no later than 6:30pm.

Room 13 left for camp yesterday and they will be followed by all Year 8 classes.  We encourage all students to attend camp but do appreciate the financial hardship this causes for some families.  If you require assistance please contact myself or Mark Russell.

Year 7's classes will all have three activity dates.  Information regarding these will be sent home by the individual classroom teachers.

We look forward to working with you this year and please be assured we appreciate you contacting us if you have questions or concerns.  We want this year to be a positive, memorable experience for all.

I look forward to meeting many of you at the Meet the Teacher evening.

Regards
