What's the Matter?

Is Oobleck a liquid or a solid?

This year in science, students will be working on their 'Science Capabilities' - in other words, their functional knowledge of science.

One way we approached the 'Science Capabilities' this week, was getting our students to make themselves a batch of Oobleck and then having a play with it.

After this they made their justified judgements (based on their evidence) as to whether Oobleck is a liquid or a solid.  Based on their photos, what do you think?

Keep an eye out for students' explanations of Oobleck appearing in future newsletters.
